Membership Class 

Church membership is something that many churches have done away with. But we believe membership is a biblical practice and incredibly helpful for both the congregation and church leaders.

Learn more about membership and register for our next membership class, which will take place on Sundays this fall: September 15, 22, and 29, 2024. The first two classes are mandatory; the class on September 29 is  optional and will touch on spiritual gifts. 

Please note: you’re not required to become a member just because you take the membership class. The class is designed to help you make an informed decision about membership here at Stones, and we will walk you through the entire prcoess.

What is church membership?

Church membership is a relationship between a Christian and a local church where the church provides affirmation and oversight for the Christian’s spiritual growth and the Christian submits their discipleship to the care of the church’s leadership.

Why become a member?

The Christian life is not meant to be lived alone. Every one of us in the church benefits from the gifts and talents that we all have to offer. But we also need leaders around us (men and women) who care about us, strengthen us in our faith, and help us up when we fall. Church membership provides the relationship where all of these benefits can be experienced in the church.
